Migos Set Target Date of June 11th for ‘Culture 3’
Coming off the success of their lead single “Straightenin,” the Migos took to Instagram to announce the release date of their incoming album Culture 3. The Migos’ Culture 3 now has a targeted release date of June 11th as written in a simple statement that read “June 11th, We’re Back.” The announcement of course pays homage to Michael Jordan’s simplistic announcement in 1995 of “I’m Back” indicating the end of the GOAT’s first retirement.
The Migos are also expected to drop their second single in the Culture 3 rollout “Modern Day” on June 4th. After that, fans are expecting announcements about the cover art, tracklist, and features before the eventual June 11th release.
It’s clear from “Straightenin” that the Migos are hungry to recapture the magic and superstardom they had over the second half of the 2010s. However, after about a year of silence from Hip-Hop’s favorite trio, the question has become whether they can do it or not. With June 11th seemingly being the start of the summer with artists like Polo G and Pi’erre Bourne releasing their highly anticipated albums, the quest for the top crown has become more challenging. However, that’s not to say that each artist is in direct competition with the others because Hip-Hop has proven to be a big genre with many subgenres. With that being said, fans and critics are excited to see what comes out of June 11th and one thing that’s guaranteed is Pi’erre Bourne, Polo G, and the Migos will put forth their best effort.
