Sneak Peek: Eve, Brandy, and Naturi Star in ABC Drama “Queens”
Queens may be considered as the urban version of Sex in the City. Within the short trailer, four estranged friends and former bandmates of a 90’s hip-hop collective called ‘Nasty B*tches’, reunite for an opportunity to perform their successful records at a prestigious award ceremony on a nationally syndicated network.
Earlier last month, there were photos displayed on several social media platforms that Brandy and Eve would return to the acting realm. That deemed true as a 30-second clip made its debut of a brand-new television series on ABC.

However, the women seemed to have put their rouge and sexually liberated past behind them to focus on other aspects of their lives two decades later. Out-of-touch with their roots, the legendary hip-hop acts has approximately four days to recapture the audience attention. The four ladies would be at a dinner table, discussing the opportunity of performing once again, where Brianna (Eve) questioned, “Tell me how this isn’t gonna be a disaster?” However, based on the next segment, the ladies dug into their roots and proved that they still have what it takes to compete with the new-generation.
The ABC series has a star-studded line, starring Eve Cooper (nee Jeffers) who plays Brianna aka Professor Sex, Brandy Norwood as Naomi aka Xplicit Lyrics, Naturi Naughton as Jill aka Da Thrill, and Nadine Velazquez as Valeria aka Butter Pecan.
Queens is written and executive produced by Zahir McGhee and will air on ABC Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. in late 2021-2022.
