News: Britney Spears to Speak in Court for Conservatorship
Britney did request that the hearing should be expedited to which was granted by Judge Penny for June 23 at 1:30 P.M. Pacific Time.
Britney Spears is ready to speak on her own behalf, in her longstanding conservatorship case.
On Tuesday’s (April 26) court proceedings, Spears attorney, Samuel Ingham informed Judge Brenda Penny, “The conservatee has requested that I seek from the court, a status hearing at which she can address the court directly.”
There is no indication as to what the Pop Icon wanted to discuss, considering this would be her first time speaking in court – since the request to remove her father, James Parnell Spears from being her conservator to granting her sister; Jamie Lynn Spears, as her conservator. It would be presumptuous to say that Britney wants to speak on the conservatorship situation, however, it is unsure.

Regarding this particular case of Britney being held captive by her father James, there has been several matters to which involves Spears finances. During a briefing with LA Court Connect, mother, Lynne Spears prohibited her ex-husband from spending any more of Spears money – stating that James spent over $900,000.00 to fight Britney from removing him as a conservatee.
Those matters in regard to Britney’s finances will be addressed on July 14th, however, there was a motion filed by Jodi Montgomery – (who according to recent court documents, is one of Britney Spears care manager as well who garnered temporary conservatorship) to seal a single file.
Britney Spears seems to be in better spirits lately, displaying her carefree demeanor on social media, as well as being a loving and doting mother as well as a partner to longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
“I have a beautiful home, beautiful children. I’m taking a break right now because I’m enjoying myself.” Britney recently stated on an Instagram post.
Considering court battles, raising children, album and tour performances, and practicing the mantra of self-care – Britney is more than deserving of a well-needed break.
