Recap: Inside the Inaugural Rose Fest In Orange County, California

The Rose Fest Music Festival; Orange County, CA

MusicXclusives was front and center at the first annual Rose Fest Music Festival. The festival included performances and appearances from a star-studded lineup with the likes of Mozzy, Eric Bellinger, Rubi Rose, Day Sulan, and more. Let’s take a deep dive into the festivities.

The Rose Music Festival was the first Covid-compliant festival in the state of California since the pandemic began over a year ago. The festival took place in Orange County, California, on April 24th, 2021.

The line-up was interesting in that it included both established stars as well as up-and-coming artists with a ton of talent to offer. Despite the difference in fame between the artists, each performer rocked the stage. When interviewed and asked how it felt to be back on stage, each performer was ecstatic to be performing in a live environment again. For some performers, it was their first live performance in over a year; for others, it was their first live performance ever.

MusicXclusives interviewed opening act 777 God, Mariana Velletto, J Legras, Black Fortune, B. Lytrece, TMG Fresh, Marissa Ford, Whitney Reign of the Four, host J. Mulan, and headliners Eric Bellinger and Day Sulan.

The Rose Festival was the brainchild of creative director Phillip Riian and artists Ry and Kendyx in order to give up and coming artists a chance to shine on stage with some of the biggest acts in music today. Because of the volume of undiscovered talent that is allowed a platform to take their crafts to the next level, the Rose Fest is an unparalleled music event.

The remarkably well-organized event was hosted by Philion with special guest hosts J Mulan, Manuel Antonio, and Abby Nicole. The festival also had celebrity DJ’s including Asia Shabazz, and DJ Carisma from Power 106 FM.

We also want to give a special shoutout to the photographer of the event, Damian Michael who took the greatest photos during the festival, along with MusicXclusives own photographer Jaspy Bracley.

The proceeds from the festival are to be donated to the Avalon Carver Community Center, which provides aid for causes like substance abuse, community outreach, and education to South L.A. residents.
