Bronx Artist Sha Bussin Drops His Latest Single “Rags To Riches”

Last week, Sha Bussin Not Ya Cousin out of The Bronx, NY dropped his newest single, “Rags to Riches” along with its accompanying visual.

“Rags to Riches” is a melodic, gritty street track with bouncy, understated production that highlights Sha Bussin’s distinct, affected vocal and melodic autotune flow. The way Sha delivers the simple but engaging bars about the struggle to rise from the bottom over the trap 808’s will have listener’s heads nodding and wondering what other tricks the young Bronx artist has in store.

The music video matches the vibe of the track – with lots of blues and purples and trippy, slowed down visual effects to create the altered, gritty atmosphere that “Rags to Riches” calls for – even opening with a jail call to one of the bro’s locked up. Sha Bussin also seems to take COVID precautions more seriously than many other artists – almost always being spotted wearing a mask (assuming there’s no other reason to be masked up).

“Rags to Riches” is the latest in a series of singles from Sha Bussin that he’s been dropping since 2019 – following his last release, the scam-friendly bop and shoutout to his favorite water brand, “Voss” that dropped late in 2020. He’s also been featured in various publications including ThisIs50, TheSource, and HipHopSince1987.

Check out the video for “Rags to Riches” below – and stay tuned for more moves from Sha Bussin Not Ya Cousin in 2021.
