Bobby Shmurda Is Official Free At Last

Chart-topping recording artist, also known as the King of New York, Bobby Shmurda is a free man. The “Hot N*gga” hitmaker was released from New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility Tuesday (Feb 23) after serving a seven-year sentence for conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon.

Shmurda, 26, was taken into custody in December 2014, along with fellow recording artist and friend Rowdy Rebel, and agreed to a plea deal, taking more time so Rebel could be released from prison earlier — which he was several months ago. Upon release, Shmurda was picked up by Multi-platinum recording artist Quavo by private jet. On the plane, Quavo thanked the Shmurda Dance creator for being a respectable individual while Shmurda spoke with his mother who was patiently awaiting his arrival for a private dinner.

Days before his release, Shmurda took to Instagram with the caption “How the fucc y’all forget about me.”

Along with praises from across Hip Hop, Shmurda was gifted with jewelry, money with plans to hit the studio immediately and release new music for the patiently awaited fans.

Bobby Shmurda released his only project, Shmurda She Wrote, in 2014 on Epic Records.
