Elite rapper Nicki Minaj announced her pregnancy via Instagram today. The iconic and two-time number 1 Billboard Hot 100 chart topper hashtagged “preggers” on a photo of her kneeling and holding a very visible baby bump. Many have speculated the Queen of Rap being pregnant after images of recent weight gain, most notably in her video “Trollz” with rapper 6ix9ine. Nicki Minaj is married to Kenneth Petty, with whom she married privately earlier this year.

In 2008, Nicki Minaj released a song entitled “Autobiography” from her second mixtape Sucka Free. On the song, she goes into detail about how she lost a baby, though it’s uncertain as to how, though it was obvious it was a situation that was really tough for her. Nicki Minaj has talked about having a family and wanting children for years, and she finally has made that come to fruition. Congratulations to Nicki Minaj on her pending bundle of joy!
