Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé’s ‘Savage (Remix)’ Hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100

Megan Thee Stallion has become the ninth female rapper to receive a Hot 100 hit on the Billboard charts, joining Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, Shawnna, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Lizzo, Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj in company. This just happened a couple weeks of Doja Cat and Nicki both receiving their first Hot 100 hit for “Say So (Remix)” (not to mention Doja’s anti-Black ball of confusion).

This is also the quickest time in which two songs containing a female rapper reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. For Beyoncé, this is her 7th #1 Hot 100 as a solo artist. Thousands of fans and supporters have congratulated Bey & Megan in this time, and reminded Meg that she said she would release the music video for “Cash Shit.” Will we get the video? Only time will tell.
