Blue Ivy’s Historic Win at The NAACP Image Awards!
This past weekend the who’s who of melanated entertainment joined together to celebrate black excellence in all things music, television, and film. Nominated for Outstanding Dou or Group, Blue Ivy Carter had all hearts and minds wishing the best for the young star on the rise.
Amongst the extensive list of artists, actors, and entertainers, Blue Ivy historically broke records as the youngest nominee across all categories and the youngest to win an NAACP Award. At the tender age of eight years old, Blue Ivy has secured a second award for her contributions to Brown Skin Girl, the up-tempo pop anthem featured on Lion King: The Gift.
Previously, Blue accepted The Ashford & Simpson Songwriters Award at The Soul Train Awards in 2019 alongside her mother Beyonce Knowles Carter. Check out the video below.
