Destiny’s Child alum and Grammy award winning artist Ms Kelly Rowland is coming clean and showcasing vulnerability on her new record, “Dirty Laundry.” The 32 year old star, whose new album, Talk a Good Game hits stores next month breaks the silence and opens up about a past relationship with a former lover on The-Dream written single. She even opens up about hee relationship with Beyonce and more. This one is definitely going to catch a lot of people’s attention and controversy. We applaud Kelly for her honesty and finally stepping outside of her shell. This is what we call growth!
The 2013 SESAC Pop Music Awards were held Monday evening at The New York Public Library, honoring the best songwriters and publishers in the industry.
“The invitation-only, red carpet gala event has established itself as one of the most popular music gatherings in the business. Each year, the star studded evening features special performances from some of entertainment’s top hit-makers with attendees including some of the biggest names in music.” (from official SESAC website).
This year’s show included honoring music executive Daniel Glass of Glassnote Entertainment with the prestigious Visionary Award, along with songwriter Rico Love earning the “Songwriter of the Year” award for the third time in a row, and the “Song of the Year” award for “Heart Attack,” performed by Trey Songz, and Michelle Williams stealing the red carpet spotlight in an all-fuchsia pant suit, revealing a leather bra beneath a lace top under the jacket. Williams made the appearance to present Love with his awards. Celeb attendees also included Swizz Beatz, Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett, Melanie Fiona, Angela Hunte, and more.

Wasn’t going to post this because I got to it late, but after gushing over Jay-Z‘s cue to his lady in his verse – “Sky high with Ty Ty/G feezys with Jay Breezy/Casa de Campo with OG/then I’m back home to my Be-Be [Beyoncé]” – I couldn’t help but do the post. “High Art” is the current single from The Dream‘s upcoming project, IV Play, slated for a May 28th release.
