Our very own Chad Borden sat down with Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger just moments after he stepped off stage performing at Sterling Sound in New York City. The artist was invited by Bridget Kelly‘s people while in town working on new music, taking meetings, and recently performed at SOB’s. We spoke about his current mixtape, Born II Sing Vol. III, which is available right now, writing for Chris Brown on his forthcoming album, X, as well as penning songs for Brandy, and making the transition from songwriting to being an artist.
Beyoncé finally released the full version to her latest Timbaland produced, The-Dream co-produced single to let the world know she’s a GROWN WOMAN! Check out the record and let us know how you feel about it! Personally, I think it’s dope and exciting, not to mention it’s a record that’s moving into the direction the music industry is moving with popular music- a more genuine direction. Her album is rumored to be out later this year.
We caught up with rising star and hitmaker Elijah Blake @ the famed Sterling Sound in New York City for an exclusive interview with our very own, Chad Borden. The Roc Nation/Def Jam signee came out to support label-mate, Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Bridget Kelly, but took some time after the show to talk to us about his current single, “X.O.X.” featuring Common, his sound, and working with artists like Usher (“Climax”), Keyshia Cole (“Enough Of No Love”), Rihanna (“No Love Allowed”), Bono of U2, Kylie Minogue, Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, and Big Sean on his follow up single, “Come Away.” There’s also a record he has called, “All Black Everything” that was produced by Salaam Remi, which features a special guest coming s0on! Check it out and let us know what you think.
His current EP, Bijoux 22 is available now here.

Saturday night in New York City was filled with fun, good vibe and festivity at Chelsea’s infamous Sterling Sound. Event promoter Ron Faison brought out some of the hottest tastemakers (including ourselves) for what he calls #TheKickBack to showcase Roc Nation signee Bridget Kelly. The 27 year old Grammy award winning singer/songwriter took the stage to perform 3 cuts, 2 of which appeared on her EP, Every Girl (“My Heart,” “In The Morning”) and her current single, “Special Delivery.” But before BK went on, R&B artist Sonyae Elise opened up the evening with some of her very own tunes. Singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger came out to support, and even performed 2 songs off his latest project, Born II Sing Vol. 3. The event was hosted by CW/Music Choice’s Rodney Rikai, Bridget’s labelmate, Elijah Blake was also in the building to catch her live performance and treated us to an exclusive interview.
