The Queen of rap is officially back and ready to reclaim her throne. The southside Jamaica, Queens native surprisingly dropped her previously teased drill-inspired record, “We Go Up” with Brooklyn’s own Fivio Foreign on Instagram days ago. In the 45 second clip, the rapper initially wanted to scrap the song from her upcoming fifth studio album, although her former manager Big Fendi felt differently.

After releasing the song just moments ago, it’s already making waves on social media and streaming platforms. It’s currently sitting at the No.1 position on the iTunes charts. “We Go Up” isn’t the first time we’ve heard Nicki jump on a Drill beat, she hopped on Pop Smoke’s “Welcome To The Party” (Remix) in 2019, which help put him on the map on a mainstream level that summer.

The song was produced by Papiyerr (who recently did “Do We Have a Problem?” w/ Lil Baby) and co-produced by Swizzy and Szamz. We’re not sure yet if this song will appear on Nicki’s new album or if its just a buzz single.
