MajorStage presented another well orchestrated and sold out event at the legendary SOB’s in New York City on Tuesday night. The headlining event spearheaded by Mount Vernon’s very own Niko Brim brought the entire Uptown out for his #B4THETHRONE release concert, which was co-headlined by his CYN-affiliated cohort, Kai Ca$h, who represents Brooklyn. Both of the fellas, in their early twenties grew up together making music since childhood and share famous parents alike. They formed a bond early on as friends, and later created this dynamic clique that we know as CYN, which was founded by Christian “King” Combs, who everyone knows as Diddy’s younger son.

Niko has been rapping for a few years now, and MusicXclusives has been following his growth for some time now. His father, Jojo Brim is an industry veteran and music executive, whose worked with superstars such as Trey Songz, Nelly, and Jeezy just to name a few. His mother, Misa Hilton-Brim is a well accomplished famous celebrity stylist, whose credits include good friend, Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott and so much more. Although his parents are well known figures in the music industry, Niko still had to prove himself as an artist, and he has. B4THETHRONE marks his third body of work to date, arguably one of his best yet, showcasing his lyrical growth as an emcee. With features from Hip Hop heavyweight Rapsody and Domani Harris (T.I.’s son), its no surprise why this EP has been garnering so much attention from critics.

The 23 year old had the entire building rocking to the sounds from his latest project, and even brought out some special guests during his set, performing songs such as “BANKROLL$,” “NO LIES” with Asia Graves and “GIRLS IN THE EAST.” Co-headliner Kai Ca$h didn’t disappoint as he performed some of his popular tunes, “The West,” “Helen Keller” as well as other notables. But the show didn’t stop there, some of the opening acts included Niko’s sister, Madison Star, R&B singer Jhetti Rose, and Harlem’s rising star Fergie Baby, who performed his fan favorite, “Freak” with BILLY B and Kajun Waters, as well as other records from his Are You Dum?! Vol. 2 project released back in May. Some special guests in attendance were both Niko’s parents, Misa and Jojo, James Maynes, Quincy Combs, Dizzy Banko, Great Dame, Vina Love, Gianni Harrell, and more. It was certainly a night to remember.
