The 30-year old and mother of two is gearing up to the hit the road this fall on a 12-city nationwide tour across the country. Taylor recently vented about her frustrations with her label, Def Jam and hardships in the music industry being an artist and getting her just do. Her last album, simply titled, The Album was released last year to rave reviews, but despite its critical acclaim, it didn’t receive the necessary push it needed.

In December of 2020, she hopped on Instagram Live to express her discord with Def Jam, and why she wants to be released from the label. In the same video, she explains she prefers to choose her sanity and well-being, to indulge in different facets of entertainment such as directing music videos, fashion, and helping develop other artists since she understands what its like to be one.
