4x Grammy nominee Lucky Daye is serving up nostalgia vibes on his newly released single, “Over,” which samples Musiq Soulchild’s 2002 classic hit, “Halfcrazy.” The 35-year old New Orleans native and RCA signee unveiled the visual for the colorful music video, which stars Jordyn Woods as his leading lady.
“Over” is the lead single from his forthcoming sophomore album, the follow-up to 2019’s Painted album and his recently released 7-song EP, 2021’s Table For Two. The visual captures Lucky prepping backstage with his team for a show, which ultimately leads to him performing for an empty crowd, he’s then in another scene walking threw a hallway filled with paparazzi snapping shots of him and groupies trying to grab his attention. Another shot shows him shows him in front mirrors morphing into different wardrobe changes (kudos to the stylist; dope looks!) Jordyn remains by his side every step of the way while keeping track of time holding a watch throughout the visual. You’ll have to watch the video till the very end to see what happens.
Lucky is currently on tour w/ H.E.R. for the Lights On Fest and will be hitting New York City on Oct 21 & 22nd. His new album is slated for a 2022 release.
