Lizzo and Cardi B Collabs on “Rumors” Dropping This Friday!
Fans alluded it would have been Harry Styles, but to everyone’s pleasant surprise, the “Juice” singer/rapper unveiled that Cardi B would be the featured guest on the brand-new record.
Last week, Lizzo informed her fans that she will release a new single called “Rumors” which would feature a special guest. The 33-year-old revealed a short snippet on TikTok which turned viral – anticipating for the release.
A few days ago, Lizzo took to Instagram on a FaceTime screen recording – which typed “Rumors feat…” and within seconds, Cardi B appeared on the opposing side of the screen, seeming to have been laying down. “Good morning, m—erf—er!” Lizzo bellowed, and the ladies kee kee’d before the short clip came to an end.
Within the same post, Cardi posted, “You really think they ready?” with three heart eye emojis.
This is the first new project since the 2019 release of Cuz I Love You, which received positive reviews. Lizzo’s third studio album reached number 4 on Billboard’s Best Album of the Year (2019) and won a Grammy within the same year as well.
“Rumors” is slated to drop on Friday, August 13th and will be available on all major platforms.
