February 12th would turn into a whirlwind for the Maraj family, when 64-year-old Robert Maraj who was the victim of a hit-and-run incident. Walking alongside Roslyn Road (near Raff Avenue) in Mineola, Long Island at approximately 6:15 pm on Friday (February 12th), Maraj was struck by a vehicle, which continued to flee the scene. Witnesses were unable to give authorities a detailed description of the make and model of the vehicle – or a description of the suspect at large.
Robert Maraj was taken to a local hospital shortly after the incident in critical condition, however, succumbed to his injuries the following day (February 13).
Close family members, including Robert’s sister Suzie – expressed her heartbreak via social media, stating the following:
“My heart is so heavy right now. I’m missing my big brother and it’s only been less than 24 hrs. This is so hard you’ll. It hurts really, really bad. He was a victim of a hit and run.”
Nicki Minaj has not publicly come forward with the news of her father, however, we are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers during this tumultuous time.
