Last Month, Sha Bussin Not Ya Cousin dropped his latest single “Voss” – a high-energy banger with tight production, a strong hook, and a hugely catchy flow throughout.
“Voss” is a great introduction to Sha’s style, featuring his signature autotuned sound over a well-produced trap beat. The accompanying visual was shot in the Bronx, with Sha taking viewers through the trenches and showing off some his methods and former exploits. Sha is a multi-talented creative, and actually engineered this track himself and put together the creative direction for the video.
“My sound is like a clean cut diamond. None of my songs sound the same, but they all hit the same. I make music for people to relate to and create a positive vibe. I knew this one was a hit, right after recording it. My music is influenced by my upbringing. Growing up in poverty you see things from a different perspective. That “get it how you live” mentality really sticks with you growing into your adult years.”
Born and raised in the Bronx, like many talented artists Sha grew up with a passion for music from a young age. Growing up in an unforgiving environment where the only option is to sink or swim is what inspired him to perfect his craft and make authentic and meaningful records. His music strikes a different tone from the current trends in NY hip hop today, forgoing the hard-edged drill sound for a captivating lazy-flow and catchy autotuned melodies.
