Iam Shamar Drops New Video ‘Before You [Take Me Away]’

23-year old Brooklyn singer/ songwriter has been making a name for himself in the music industry for quite sometime and nows he’s back with a new video and single. The song entitled ‘Before You [Take Me Away]’ highlights the the need for change in the world as it relates to police brutality and social injustice.

Iam Shamar sings of his fears of being taken away from his family and the lack of regard for black people all across the country.

The videos backdrop is set in New York City but showcases footage from several Black Lives Matter protests that have taken place since the murders of George Floyd and countless other innocent black lives. Protestors can be seen marching, holding picket signs, and clashing with police while Iam Shamar sings about the familiar pain that we’ve all felt during these unfortunate times.

The video has already reached over 15,000 views on YouTube and continues to grow everyday.
