Bun-B is one of the most recognizable figures in Southern Hip-Hop. This Dirty South legend broke through to the masses as one-half of the iconic duo, UGK, and then with his own solo career including memorable hits, “That’s Gangsta,” “You’re Everything” and “Recognize.” Bun-B’s signature Down South lyricism birthed a generation of accomplished southern recording artists like Dallas-own D.Tall. Today, the rising star honors the inspiration that the legend has had on the culture with the new single called “Top Down.”

Off the new sensation’s latest project, Kill Lucy, the song pays homage to Bun-B longevity and a ode to Texas iconic car culture. When asked about the song, D.Tall explains, “Top Down is important because music is the universal language. Throughout the record, I break down what I listen to and why. Overall, it’s a feel-good record. Windows down, sunroof back, and good weather. It’s a vibe.”

“Top Down” is apart of a defining new album from the DFW rapper. With “Top Down,” Kill Lucy also includes hit songs, “Tried to Love the Streets” and “Long Road.” The third album is slated to be the artist’s best work yet.
