Top Dawg Entertainment is known as one of the heavy hitters in the realm of Hip-Hop and R&B. Each artist is a mastermind in their own right; from Kendrick Lamar’s poetic lyricism to SiR’s sultry haven that drifts into a beautiful sedation. Though as talented as the roster is, each member is equally yoked when it involves philanthropic efforts and giving back to the community. One of the CEOs of TDE, Anthony Tiffith is a prime example of authenticity and returning back the favor of positivity to his old domain.
Tiffith alongside Think Watts Foundation has collaborated in a free food distribution and nutritional health seminar which is slated for today, June 10th. The public event is called ‘Above and Beyond,’ which each household of the Watts public housing projects will be able to obtain a case of water, fresh produce, and vegan eateries sponsored by Beyond Meat. In the midst of retrieving food, each household will be educated on the nutritional value and health benefits with adjusting or transitioning to a plant based diet, or healthier eating habits to reduce the several debilitating ailments that plagues more of the lower-income communities.
Several thousand boxes of food and cases of water will be donated to families living in Nickerson Gardens, Jordan Downs, Imperial Courts, Gonzaque Village, and Avalon Gardens.
Several sponsors of the ‘Above and Beyond,’ event includes: Beyond Meat, The Harold Robinson Foundation, The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, and Aqua Entity. If you are in the Los Angeles or nearby area or simply would like to volunteer, click here for further information.
