We’re sad to report that, Songwriter LaShawn Daniels best known as Big Shiz passed away last Wednesday after a fatal car crash in South Carolina. He was 41 years old.
His wife, April, revealed the news in a heartbreaking statement last Wednesday. “It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, family member and friend Lashawn Daniels,” the statement read. Revealing he was “the victim of a fatal car accident in South Carolina,” it also added, “Daniels was a man of extraordinary faith and a pillar in our family.” Daniels has a number of credits that reads like a who’s who list of R&B and pop stars. Daniels has also penned songs for Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, 50 Cent and Brandy, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Whitney Houston. He also worked on songs with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige just to name a few.
Grammy-award winning producer and songwriter died in a wreck last Tuesday. And now more details on the tragic incident have been released. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. the wreck happened on S.C. 5 East of Rock Hill. Authorities say a truck, driven by 32-year-old Jackie Dean Moss of Kings Mountain, and a van, driven by Daniels, were both involved in the crash and caught fire. Officials say a pick-up truck driving West on South Carolina Highway 5 “traveled left of center” and hit the two vehicles driving in the opposite direction.
His longtime collaborator and pal Tamar Braxton has broken her silence shortly after his death. She made a heartbreaking statement, “Lashawn, I thank you. I love you. I miss you. I promise to tell Beans how funny and talented his half God father was. You were truly the best of the best. It’s been so hard these past few days…there was so much left to say, laugh and cry about. My heart aches”. Goodbye friend,” Braxton wrote on Instagram this past Friday.
We would like to express our sincere sympathy and prayers to LaShawn Daniels wife and family at this time. He was a true gift to the music game, and he will be very missed.
That is All..
