“You can suck my ass through a straw. And I mean that. I’m a real bitch and I don’t play those games.” Those was rapper Trina final words, before she let it be known it was no beef with fellow MC Nicki Minaj. Last Night, Trina took to Instagram to finally address the drama that has been brewing after A&R of her Rockstarr Music Group label called Nicki Minaj a “manipulator.” Earlier this week, Reginald Saunders (Trina head of A&R) took to social media to claim that Nicki was allegedly putting off filming the music video for the song “BAPS,” which is feature on Trina new latest project. He went on to state “he can’t get over how fake people can be for a Lil fame, likes and followers.”
Saunders’ beef with the rapper is also over her allegedly “lack” of support for the “BAPS” track, a collaborative song that featured Nicki Minaj. He claimed that, “When everyone tried to warn me I still gave her the benefit of the doubt,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to see how all of this is about to play out because you can’t stop karmas reign, shame on you. I mostly feel sorry for the #barbs because they have no clue of the deceiver and manipulator their leader is.”
Nicki addressed the drama on her “Queen” radio show, stating that she had done as much as her schedule allowed her do to promote the single. Nicki stated, “Right now Trina’s camp is accusing me of not doing enough to push her song ‘Baps.” “I have my own schedule… it’s not fair that people don’t understand that. I would never have someone from my team disrespect somebody that has been nothing but real to me.” Well after her cousin and her A&R spoke it was now time for Trina to share her part. Late Wednesday Night, Trina took to Instagram Live to speak her peace on the situation and let it be known that she was not on team Saunders.
The baddest Bitch stated, “There is no beef between me and Nicki Minaj,” she said. “There will be no disrespect for Nicki Minaj or nobody else that’s on my album.” According to Trina, Nicki “did her part” and that “it’s up to me and my team to do our part.” Trina also went on to blame “bad business” for the drama, stating that she and her team “dropped the ball.” “I appreciate each and every artist that took the initiative to be a part of this The One album. Rico Love gave his all for me. Every artist that came out to do this album for me, they didn’t charge me,” she added. “Anything else that’s going on within that and around that, let me deal with that. Everybody else that’s outside of that, keep your f-cking mouth shut… all of y’all that are dragging my name thru the mud, dirtying my name, my face, without me saying a word, you can suck my ass through a straw. And I mean that. I’m a real bitch and I don’t play those games.”
Hopefully we will get a video for the single soon, share your thoughts below on this topic and Trina response to the drama.
