22 years ago, The Notorious B.I.G was shot to death in a drive by shooting. To this day not only is his family still mourning, but his fans are also. After years and countless attempts of trying to get this approved, city officials finally granted their wishes to have a street named after him. The first attempt was in 2013, but was denied because city officials did not believe his lyrics were setting a good example for the youth. His memory is now being permanently displayed on a popular Brooklyn street where he grew up. The corner of St. James Place and Fulton Street is now named, “Christopher Wallace Way,”

Lil’ Kim made a statement saying, “I always knew this day was gonna come. I used to dream about a street being named after Biggie, because it was only right.”
