Jaden Smith To Play Kanye West In Showtime’s ‘OMNIVERSE’

Jaden Smith is challenging his inner Kanye West. The young Hollywood start is will play Kanye West in Showtime’s upcoming series “Omniverse,” which West will executive produce, according to Variety.

The show will be a limited half-hour anthology series examining the many doors of perception. Season 1 will explore the Ego through an alternate reality West, whose younger self will be played by Jaden.

Jaden Smith has always been outspoken about his love for Kanye West. He’s even quoted The Life of Pablo as the inspiration for his debut album SYRE. He also told Vanity Fair, Kid Cudi, Kanye, Jay-Z are people that I look up to and admire.

Jaden Smith isn’t a stranger when it comes to the camera. He’s been in movies such as Life in a Year and Skate Kitchen. He also had a starring role on Netflix’s animated series Neo Yokio and Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down.
