6LACK Releases New Album ‘Since I Have A Lover’

Atlanta native and R&B sad boy 6LACK reveals his heavily anticipated LP ‘Since I Have A Lover’ which his third album and follows up on his critically acclaimed ‘East Atlanta Love Letter.’ Five years has passed since his last body of work and the most recent drop from the saddest man in R&B shows a more mature side to his personality.

The highs of having a healthy love, compressed into song format. It’s a note to self, that I’m no longer who I was or where I was, and that there’s a bigger purpose starting to reveal itself in the things I create. We are simply pushing love, because it’s needed. The verses are short and serve as a moment of acknowledgment for how I feel, and the chorus is less of a lyric and more of a feeling. It’s an exhale, it’s relief, it’s trust, it’s happiness, it’s surreal.

6LACK on releasing ‘Since I Have A Lover’

The 19-track album features only two features from QUIN on “wunna dem” and Don Toliver on “Temporary.” It also includes the previously-released singles “Since I Have A Lover,” “Fatal Attraction,” “Talkback” and “Rent Free.”
