Mase and Cam’rons beef ended as fast it began over this past Thanksgiving weekend. If you’re anything like me you are quite confused as to where the animosity came in between the two MC’s or more so caused it resurface. Earlier this month Cam’ron dissed Mase on “Its Killa” track and now here we are. On Friday, Mase shared the “Oracle” and used Genius to annotate it. Cam’ron responded by sharing his opinion that Mase retired from rap to run a Ponzi scheme. As we all recall Mase retired from rap to become a preacher. Mase and Cam’ron have a long history. They both played on the same team at Manhattan Center High School and formed Children of the Corn with Big L in 1993. If you recall back in 2004 Jim Jones and Cam’ron called into Hot 97 during one of Mase interviews putting him out as a fraud. So as you see where this goes way back. So we are trying to determine what caused the beef to resurface? As we all know for any rap beef in the social media era it gets posted on Instagram. Not until much longer after Mase dissed Cam’ron, Cam drops another track called “Sunday Dinner”. And if we are being completely honest Mase murdered this track (Oracle)! Well now we are here and the beef has been squashed. The beef actually started on Friday and ended on Sunday according to both artists Instagram. But, the real question is where did this beef come from? Why did it resurface and most importantly WHO WON? According to social media, Mase considers himself the winner. Hopefully, this is the end of the beef between the two or more so an end to an old beef. Check out the photos below of the MC’s Instagram debate.
What are your thoughts? Do you think this beef is really over?
