Within the past thirty days, pop star Ariana Grande has had many ups and downs, in particularly related to the massacre at her concert in Manchester, England on May 22nd. Since then, she held a benefit concert on June 4th entitled One Love Manchester, which raised over $2.6 million in donations in the first three hours. Guests at the concert included Katy Perry, Coldplay and Liam Gallagher.
Due to her empathetic and philanthropic spirit, Grande became the first person awarded honorary citizenship to Manchester, England, according to Variety.com. The city started a new system where they’d honor those who contribute greatly to the city and it’s citizens with citizenship if they live outside the city limits.
The proceeds from the concert are being used to benefit the victims and families of the Manchester terror attack. Ariana Grande also visited the hospitalized fans to show moral support.
