It’s been nearly two years since Bryson Tiller burst onto the scene with his Platinum-selling debut album, Trapsoul, and last year alone he focused heavily by staying in the studio putting the finishing the touches to its follow-up. Today, he took to Twitter to share exciting news with his fans letting them know the sophomore effort, titled True to Self is finally complete.
Pen Griffey shared, “sophomore album complete,” he tweeted. “i always feel like i got a lot more to say whenever i’m ‘done’ but i’ll save it for the next one i guess.”

Young Tiller announced back in January the title for the new album, which was previously titled, She’s Got My Soul.

Following the success of Trapsoul, which earned him a Grammy nomination (Best R&B Song for “Exchange”), True to Self is expected to arrive later this year. Back in October, he released “Let Me Know,” a Missy Elliott/Ginuwine sample. Pen Affleck should be releasing a new single to support the new project any date now. Stay tuned here for more.
