Recent years has proven that Grammy award-winning superstar Lauryn Hill cannot keep up with her own celebrity. She’s become infamous for arriving to her scheduled shows and concerts extremely late, and at times coming up with questionable excuses for her tardiness. Well, last night was no different. In fact, the “Ex-Factor” songstress was not 1, nor 2 but 3 hours late to a show she had in Pittsburgh. The concert was taking place at the Heinz Hall on Tuesday (Jan. 31), but fans were upset as they waited patiently for her.
The show was a stop on Hill’s The MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! concert series, announced last year.
“The MLH Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall,” Hill said of the tour. “In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self Love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities.”
Concert goers quickly took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the singer, see what some of them had to say below:
