It was very risky for me to step out on my own. Being a young woman I want to set the example that it’s possible for us to own our own businesses and own our own record labels. Sometimes we don’t reach for the stars, sometimes we are satisfied with what people tell us that we’re suppose to be satisfied with and I’m just not going for it. – Beyoncé

With the release of her new album finally out (June 28) and Columbia’s massive promo campaign underway, the 16x Grammy award winner and global megastar, Beyoncé has a new behind-the-scenes documentary to accompany the project. Simply titled, ‘Year of 4′ shows the pop icon as she took a break to enjoy life, spend time with family, travel the world, then back to recording, rehearsing, etc. You finally get to see the young diva like you’ve never seen her before. She is also now her own businesswoman calling all the shots, no longer being represented by her dad. We applaud Beyoncé for her hard work, undeniable talent, success and for being a huge inspiration to many.
