Here’s our “Throwback Thursday” feature which comes from 1-hit wonder, Ms. Gina Thompson. This is the 96 Bad Boy/Puff Daddy remix of “The Things You Do” featuring Missy Elliott, prod. by Rodney Jerkins. Her debut album, Nobody Does It Better went Platinum and the song peaked at #41 on the Hot 100; #12 on the R&B charts via Billboard. This was definitely one of my favorite jam of the 90s and one that made 1996 a memorable year in R&B music. I also believe this was Missy’s first actual feature as a solo artist.
